About Green Growth Asia Foundation (GGAF)

Green Growth Asia Foundation (GGAF) is an independent civil society organisation established in 2015 and based in Melaka, Indonesia. GGAF focuses on turning global sustainability agendas into real action on the ground, especially through education, social innovation, and multi-level partnerships.

As the National Operator of Green Key Indonesia, GGAF is responsible for managing and implementing the Green Key eco-label in the country, ensuring that tourism establishments meet robust, independently verified environmental standards. This role complements GGAF’s wider work with the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), where it also leads programmes such as Eco-Campus, Eco-Schools, Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) and related climate and environmental education initiatives.

Guided by its vision of “Empowering Youth in Individual Climate Action,” GGAF works to build climate-literate and environmentally responsible citizens by promoting project-based learning, inquiry-based science education, mental reengineering, and sustainable lifestyle habits among young people and communities.

Beyond education, GGAF’s work is structured around four strategic pathways:

  • Greening Education for a Sustainable Future
  • Green Talent for a Sustainable Future
  • Green Living for a Sustainable Future
  • Partnerships for a Sustainable Future

Through these pathways, GGAF supports governments, schools, higher education institutions, cities, businesses and communities in advancing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals, climate action and sustainable development.
